You might find these questions (and answers) thought provoking.  If an investigation endeavored to ask these questions it would lead to some startling conclusions for Congress and the American people.  We sent this to Congressional Republicans and Democrats in October 2004.  To date, not one United States Senator or Congressman has responded or inquired further.

  1.  Many parents knew in August the vaccines were tainted.  Why did Congress not find out until October?

  2.  Why did the FDA not follow through in August when contamination was confirmed by Chiron?

  3.  If Chiron did “batch” testing on the vaccines, why were ALL 48 million doses contaminated?

  4.  Is a “batch” 48 million? (answer: of course not!  So where are the “batch” test results for each batch?)

  5.  Why was the contamination not identified and addressed earlier?

  6.  Chiron made 50 million doses.  Where are the other two million doses and have the REALLY been tested for
       sterility?  (P.S. they are ALREADY in the United States)

  7.  Did Congress notice those same CONTAMINATED vaccines were "preserved" with THIMEROSAL?

  8.  Did Congress and/or FDA know that Thimerosal is NOT an effective antibacterial and the CDC has KNOWN that
       since at least 1985 (when Dr. Walter Orenstein and colleagues at CDC published an article in Pediatrics
       in February 1985)?  There are numerous other peer-reviewed, scientific studies confirming this conclusion.

  9.  Does Congress and/or FDA know that studies published as early as 1974 show Thimerosal is "the least effective"
       preservative (Antibacterial Efficiency of Mercurials  by A. E. Elkhouly and R. T. Yousef in the Journal of Pharmaceutical
       Sciences in May 1974)

10.  Does Congress know this SAME factory in Liverpool has had numerous contamination problems going back earlier
      than 1999? (The FDA website has several warning letters on file as well)

 11. Does Congress know that Aventis Pasteur has also been "red-flagged" for contamination and GMP difficulties?

 12. Has Congress checked to see if some of the "flu" deaths from 2003 were because of contaminated vaccines?
       See the MMWR (January 9, 2004/52 (53); 1286-1288) it indicates that YES, some "flu" deaths
       were because of Serratia marcescens and YES, quite a number of those "flu" deaths HAD been vaccinated!

 13.  Did the CDC try to trace it back to see if any deaths were possibly from contaminated vaccines or blow it off
       like they have the toxic levels of mercury in those same vaccines?

14.  Does Congress know that anti-virals, such as TamiFlu can be used as a preventive measure?

15.  Why aren’t the FDA and CDC encouraging the use of anti-virals (three of them cover A and B strains) instead
 of creating “panic” over the flu vaccine?  Answer: “the Recipe” (Strongly recommend reading all 51 slides but particularly 27 – 29)

16.  Does Congress know how the CDC "calculates" and predicts "flu" deaths and that the actual number is no where near 36,000 as claimed? 257 in 2001 and 753 in 2002 (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr52/nvsr52_13.pdf )

17.  Does Congress know that the National Vital Statistics Report shows a very different picture? 257 in 2001 and 753 in 2002 (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr52/nvsr52_13.pdf see page 16)

18.  Does Congress know that the National Vital Statistics Report also shows that since 1979 the highest number of
 influenza deaths is 3006?

19.  Did Congress, FDA or CDC read the UPI article by Mark Benjamin which appeared in The Washington Times
 (among others) titled 'Dire' CDC warnings hiked flu shot demand?

20.  If so, wonder if they have actually viewed the "Recipe" for a successful flu season to see the CDC advocates
 inciting fear and panic in order to force people to get vaccinated and keep profits up for manufacturers?

21.  Does Congress know that according to the 2003 Chiron annual report the company made $332.4 million in
 sales on flu vaccine alone and had a 53% gross profit?

22.  Does Congress realize that vaccines are “good” and profitable business and that even insiders admit liability
 issues are not the primary reason for fewer manufacturers?

23.  Has Congress, FDA or CDC questioned WHY 1 in 6 American children (according to CDC and AAP) now suffer from a neurodevelopmental disorders and that the INFLUENZA vaccine contains a known neurotoxin?

24.  Did Congress, FDA or CDC know that a person would have to weigh 550 lbs to be within the EPA safety guidelines when taking a flu shot which contains 25 mcg of mercury?

25.  Can Congress, FDA or CDC name any other instance where a health care worker is allowed to inject a known toxic substance into pregnant women, infants, children and senior citizens that EXCEED all regulatory toxicity guidelines?

26.  Has Congress seen the CDC/NIP "Blueprint for Success" where NIP has outlined 7 priorities?  Wonder if they know that VACCINE SAFETY is #6 (yes, # SIX out of seven)?

27.  When will Congress FINALLY ask the tough questions regarding vaccine safety?

28.  Does Congress realize their continued failure to ask the right (albeit difficult) questions gives the appearance they are more concerned with political position, job security and hefty campaign contributions from pharmaceutical companies than addressing what is REALLY happening at the FDA and CDC National Immunization Program?

29.  Does Congress realize the National Immunization Program WILL collapse if they don't act quickly and properly to restore responsibility, accountability, integrity and credibility to the program because Americans are rapidly losing faith in NIP?

30.  Does Congress realize that parents have tremendous respect for Congressmen Weldon & Burton and Congresswomen Maloney & Watson (along with the other 46 House members who have co-sponsored HR 4169) for their leadership in trying to make vaccines safer for our children?

31.  How many more debacles will it take for the remaining members of Congress who have NOT supported HR 4169 to be embarrassed enough to get their head out of the sand and their hands out of the pharmaceutical
companies pockets long enough to protect Americans from this travesty before the FDA and CDC lose ALL
credibility? 

32.  Does Congress understand that parents are SO disgusted with the lack of response from our “leaders” regarding concerns for our children’s health and safety that MOST, if not all, are willing to abandon ALL party loyalty and VOTE for the candidate who will commit to fixing what is terribly broken within FDA and CDC/NIP? 

33.  Why does Congress not understand they would not have to try so hard to KEEP their job if they would finally start DOING their job?  

If they are ready to ask the questions, we can help them with the answers.  A good place to start is by insisting that SAFETY be made priority #1!  We are not “anti-vaccine” but safety issues should not be ignored or minimized by government officials OR the media.
